Advancing Girls’ Secondary Education towards SDG 4 and 5

Challenge description:

Registered in doctorate on UMONS in Belgium in the field of the psychology and the sciences of the education, the author proposes an innovation in connection with the use of ICTS for the education and the training. The specificity of the study is the implementation of a support with the teachers within the framework of educational techno activities. It is a question of bringing the teachers during the educational action to combine educational and school sequences with media as tablet, interactive whiteboard.

Idea description:

The purpose of this project is to improve the quality of the education - learning so that the education, the knowledges and the transmission those - this as well as their appropriation. It is a question of facilitating and of making effective the educational relation (education) (-) (learning) between the teachers-pupils in particular the preteenagers and the teenagers in Togo and in sub-Saharan Africa.

I. Context and justification Registered in doctorate on UMONS in Belgium in the field of the psychology and the sciences of the education, the author proposes an innovation in connection with the use of ICTS for the education and the training. The specificity of the study is the implementation of a support with the teachers within the framework of educational techno activities. It is a question of bringing the teachers during the educational action to combine educational and school sequences with media as tablet, interactive whiteboard. Thus the idea is to join our efforts to lead a device of search but also in practice with teachers' number of primary school in Togo. The choice goes porter on the more collaborative and flexible public schools with the innovations. The purpose of this project is to improve the quality of the education - learning so that the education, the knowledges and the transmission those - this as well as their appropriation. It is a question of facilitating and of making effective the educational relation (education) (-) (learning) between the teachers-pupils in particular the preteenagers and the teenagers in Togo and in sub-Saharan Africa. In short term this search is going to facilitate and to innovate the education - learning by the support-support of the teachers of the primary sector and the secondary sector in the use of the educational media to share them of the technical profits and also in didactics and pedagogy. In the medium and long term the results of the study have not insignificant carried other: improve the retention of the pupils especially those female, fight exclusion in education of the children in situation of handicap (psychomotor, mental etc. …) pupils unsuitable for the school work in other. Thus this socio-educational project militates in favour of the Workgroup of the Association for the development of the education in Africa on the management of the education and the support for the politics (ADEA GTGEAP) and the Forum of the African educators (FAWE) who are in search "of ideas and programs / of projects / of activities innovative and evolutionary which can / have managed to improve the secondary education for girl in Africa." Indeed these two institutions want to capitalize the "models of possible success in the acceleration of the education of girl at the level of the secondary education, as well as programs or projects which can be reproduced or put in the scale to offer in girl an access to a quality education through the continent". Thus it will be possible by the use of tablets to improve the educational on one hand and the learning of other to begin really the process an education that including quality. II. Resources Human resources: the academic actors (the PhD student and his Professor of thesis) and the actors operational (Nobody Gets fresh ideas in Togo and NGO The CRACK) and institutional actors (ADEA / FAWE). Material and logistic resources: tablets, internet connection and teaching aids. Financial resources: the expenses of taken in charge of the activities III. PLAN of action 1. Operational objectives: Mobilize the resources for the pilot project in Togo. Expected results: The necessary resources for this pilot project Activities: Quantitative and qualitative estimation of needs - Fund raising and mobilization of the skills and the logistics Speakers: PhD student - ADEA / FAWE - NGO CRACK - People resources Duration: 1 month 2. Operational objectives: Identify participants Expected results: 15 voluntary participants (Teachers or teachers) are identified Activities: Mutualization of the objectives of the project with the potential participants Speakers: NGO CRACK - -nobody Gets fresh ideas premises Duration: 15 days 3. Operational objectives: Organize meetings of appropriation of the guidelines of the project. Expected results: The participants appropriated the guidelines of the project Activities: Meetings and webimar Speakers: PhD student - People resources - NGO CRACK Duration: 1 month 4. Operational objectives: Train teachers in the educational and school sequences with media as tablet, interactive whiteboard. Expected results: 15 participants make educational and school sessions with media as the tablet, the interactive whiteboard. Activities: Sessions of online training educational and school sessions with media Speakers: PhD student - People resources Duration: 3 months 5. Operational objectives: Make the follow-up of the educational and school sessions for the participants with media Expected results: The follow-up / evaluation of the training of the participants is made Activities: Followed on-line - Assessment Speakers: PhD student - People resources Duration: 1 week 6. Operational objectives: Make evaluation / capitalization and of the pilot project Expected results: The evaluation of the phase and the capitalization of the results is made Activities: Elaboration of the TDR - Performance appraisals of the project - Capitalization of the results Speakers: PhD student - People resources - ADEA / FAWE - NGO CRACK - Participants Duration: 2 weeks 7. Operational objectives: Design of the educational textbook Of animation of the educational and school sessions with tablet, the interactive whiteboard. Expected results: An educational textbook of educational and school animation with the tablet, the interactive whiteboard. Activities: Elaboration of the TDR - Design of the curriculum - Elaboration of Manuel Speakers: PhD student - People resources - ADEA / FAWE - NGO CGRACK Duration: To determine IV. Methodology 1. Sample The sample is going to be made by a choice taking into account reason: of the availability, the motivation, the criterion kind and the capacity to work on the computer and in the control of internet. The staff is going to border between 10 and 15 voluntary teachers who will be accompanied by means of capsules videos, of help to the scénarisation of the educational contents. 2. Follow-up of the operational activities One other very important will be the analysis of practice of the people, to know so their returns in terms of practices in their professionalism to define better the support with the pupils. 3.
