Call for Papers for the ADEA 2017 Triennale

New deadline for submissions is 15th September, 2016.

The Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) is a forum for policy dialogue and for promoting innovative policies and practices in education. Since its inception in 1988, it has grown from a donor-driven platform for coordinating development aid to a vibrant network of African education and training ministries, bilateral and multilateral development agencies, researchers, educational experts, and technical partners from Africa and around the world. ADEA’s vision is to create a “high-quality African education and training geared towards the promotion of critical skills for accelerated and sustainable development in Africa”.

ADEA will organize its 2017 Triennale from 15th to 17th March, 2017 in Marrakesh, the Kingdom of Morocco. The ADEA 2017 Triennale is structured around a main theme which is "Revitalizing education towards the 2030 Global Agenda and Africa’s Agenda 2063” and four sub-themes which are as follows:

  • Sub-theme 1 (ST1): Implementing education and lifelong learning for sustainable development
  • Sub-theme 2 (ST2): Promoting science, mathematics, and information and communications technology (ICT)
  • Sub-theme 3 (ST3): Implementing education for African cultural renaissance and pan-African ideals
  • Sub-theme 4 (ST4): Building peace and global citizenship through education.

As part of the preparations for the Triennale, ADEA is seeking case studies, research reports, country reports, project-based reports, testimonies, or summary of consultations with education stakeholders (countries and/or organizations) on any of the above-mentioned sub-themes. The documents should focus on implementation challenges, what has worked, practices and innovations that can be replicated, etc. Selected papers will be presented during the ADEA 2017 Triennale.

Kindly forward your proposals to the relevant sub-theme Coordinator as indicated in the “Call for Papers/Abstract” here below, no later than 15th September, 2016
