Synthesis Report of the In-­Service Teacher Education in Sub‐Saharan Africa

This report was prepared by Muhammad Ibn Junaid from the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), Nigeria and Francois Maka from the Department of Primary and Distance Training, Institut National de Formation Pedagogique, Madagascar. However, many people contributed to the production of the report. The conceptual framework and the methodology for the country case studies, as well as the overall objectives of the study were discussed and agreed upon by the three key players in the study (the funding agencies, the lead consultants and the country consultants) at an induction workshop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in October, 2011.
