The 10th eLearning Africa Conference

eLearning Africa is the key networking event for ICT enhanced education and training in Africa. As the largest annual conference of its kind, the three-day event is a must for those wanting to develop multinational and cross-industry partnerships and contacts whilst enhancing their knowledge, expertise and abilities.

In 2015, eLearning Africa is being hosted by the Ethiopian Ministry of CIT at the African Union Conference Centre.

Theme 2015 – Enriching Tomorrow

Above all others, Africa's human capital is its most valuable resource. Individuals are the driving force behind development, innovation and economic growth on the Continent, and access to quality education and ICTs enrich the potential of individuals to empower communities. At eLearning Africa 2015, we will be asking how ICTs can be used today to enhance knowledge, expertise and abilities relevant for tomorrow. How can quality education be provided, designed, implemented, supported and certified for Africa's youth and Africa's workforce?

The 10th eLearning Africa will bring together decision makers and practitioners from the education, business and government sectors to discuss, share and act on all themes surrounding access, openness, digital literacy, culture, pedagogy, sustainability, best practices and more.

Main Facts:

  • eLearning Africa is the largest gathering of eLearning and ICT supported education and training professionals in Africa, enabling participants to develop multinational and cross-industry contacts and partnerships, as well as to enhance their knowledge, expertise and abilities.
  • At eLearning Africa 2014, 1,497 education and training practitioners, experts, researchers, newcomers and providers from 68 countries gathered during the three conference days at the Speke Resort and Conference Centre, Kampala, Uganda. 81% of the participants came from African countries. The conference programme featured the work of 300 speakers and chairpersons from 43 countries, addressing all forms of technology-enhanced learning and including a rich mix of themes, topics and a variety of session formats.
  • Delegates are high-level policy and decision makers and practitioners from education, business and government - the three key areas driving eLearning adoption and innovation.
  • The conference programme includes plenary sessions with world-class experts, smaller presentation and special focus sessions, practical demonstrations and debates on specific topics, as well as various informal networking opportunities in which practitioners share their experiences, ideas, new information and perspectives. The conference is held in English and French.

Every year, participants evaluate the exhibition as a critical meeting point for professional interaction within the conference.
