WGECD meets with the American Jewish World Service in New York

The coordinator for the Working Group on Early Childhood Development (WGECD) has met with the American Jewish World Service (AJWS) in New York.

The AJWS is active in the field of education and its educational programs encourage critical reflection on global issues such as poverty, epidemics, violence and human rights violations. In its advocacy the AJWS emphasizes issues relating to hunger, debt alleviation and gender equality.

The AJWS is also the second biggest donor to UNICEF and one of the biggest to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

The coordinator gave a presentation on the WGECD which was welcomed with great interest. This meeting provided an opportunity to ADEA to build new partnerships and mobilize funds.
