A long serving teacher in both secondary schools and Teacher Training colleges, Charles worked for a number of years as Quality assurance and Standards officer at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Kenya. Currently one of the coordinators of the Peace Education programme in the Ministry. He also participated in the development of Peace Education materials including Peace Education manual, Teacher Activity books for primary schools and self-help booklets for pupils, and Education Sector Policy on Peace Education. Lastly, Charles has recently been appointed as new coordinator of the ADEA’s Inter Country Quality Node on Peace Education (ICQN-PE), based in Kenya.
