ADEA will hold the 10th edition of the quarterly Africa Foundational Learning Ministerial Coalition (AFLMC) meeting virtually on Thursday, 26th March 2026.

AFLMC was created following the 2022 ADEA Triennale as a cadre of Ministers to help improve learning outcomes in Africa. The meeting will take stock of what the Triennale outcomes mean for national foundational learning goals, identify critical policy and dialogue moments for 2026, and shape the messages and lessons countries will share at FLEX2026 in Malawi.

The session will also provide updates on priority initiatives, including FLIGHT and AFLAI, and explore emerging opportunities such as mobilising African philanthropy around foundational learning and strengthening South–South exchange. Ministers are expected to align on 2026 coalition priorities anchored in the 2025 ADEA Triennale’s Sub-theme 2 resolutions.
