Nader Imani
Mr. Imani holds a PhD. in Mechanical Engineering from the Ecole Centrale des Nantes, France in 1991, and has attended several management education programs, among others in St. Galen Management University Switzerland in 2001 and Harvard Business School, USA in 2006.
During his professional career, Mr. Imani has hold several managerial positions from regional and international sales, through strategic business development, to executive management of legal entities in North America.
Mr. Imani currently holds the position as Executive Vice President Global Education, steering global B2G education projects in TVET and Academia addressing socio-economic challenges.
In his career path, Mr. Imani has been first acting as an Assistant Professor for Education and Applied Research in the University of Nantes, co-managed education activities of 60 Festo company-subsidiaries and over 30 representatives, led the Business Field Education at Festo Didactic, with over 250 employees responsible for design, development and production of educational products and training solutions in Technical Vocational and Academic Education, and cooperated worldwide with national authorities in charge of education and international bi-, multilateral developing agencies and chambers of commerce and industries to define labor market demand driven technical education programs, mainly but not restrictive to the manufacturing sector.
In parallel, Mr. Imani is an active member of the LKDF – the Learning and Knowledge Development Facility initiated by UNIDO. He’s co-supporting the UNESCO Learning Cities initiative. He is involved to steer international activities of Didacta Verband, the major association of education companies in Germany and is Vice-President of the Worlddidac, the largest Education Association representing companies that worldwide offer products and services in education. Mr. Imani is the Global Industrial Partner of the WorldSkills International promoting skills-based education worldwide, he is member of Africa Advisory Board in Skills Development. He has been supporting the UNESCO Coalition on Global Education as a response to COVID-19 with digital education programs.
Mr. Imani speaks and communicates fluently in English, French, German, Persian and Spanish, is interested in history, anthropology and likes travelling.
