Africa ECD Voice

WGECD publishes a newsletter, ECD Voice, the first two issues of which appeared in October 2013 and January 2014.

The next issues will be published in partnership with the University of Victoria’s Early Childhood Development Virtual University (ECDVU) http://www.ecdvu.org/, an internationally recognized program that operates within the School for Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria, Canada. While based locally, the ECDVU network and its impact are global.

The ECDVU is involved in promoting the leadership capacity of sub-Saharan African experts and institutions as a key strategy in support of child, family and community well-being and broader social and economic development.

To meet the need for ECD leadership in Africa, the ECDVU offers an ECD training and capacity building program through both face-to-face and distance training sessions, seminars, videoconferences, online learning and a “community of learners” strategy.
