Welcome back Norway!

Norway is back as a member of ADEA. A contribution agreement between the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) and ADEA was signed on December 10, 2014.

NORAD will support ADEA’s programs through a contribution of 9 Million Norwegian Crowns for the period 2014-2016.

NORAD was a member of ADEA between1997 to 2009. It acted as lead agency for ADEA’s Working Groups on Communication for Education and Development (NORAD) and supported other Working Groups including ADEA’s former Working Group on Education Statistics.

NORAD’s contribution and its re-integration as a member of the ADEA Steering Committee comes at a time where Norway is giving high priority to education. It has just completed drafting a white paper on education in development [read the White Paper in the Resources section] and is positioning itself to become a global leader for the advancement of education worldwide.

We welcome and extend our thanks to Norway!
